Our History
Matoaca Middle opened in 1975 on Halloway Avenue in Matoaca. The school’s name, Matoaca, comes from the Algonquian princess Pocahontas. The school now consists of two buildings on one campus. (West Campus – a recently built building that houses two of the grade levels and East Campus – the former Matoaca High School).
