The boys soccer team at Matoaca Middle is all about preparing the athletes to play soccer at the high school level, including the physical, mental, and social aspects of the game.

The boys soccer team has won 1 championship.

The boys soccer team plays in the fall, so tryouts for the team will start at 2:30 p.m. on Monday Aug. 26.

Anyone who is interested will meet on that day in room E215.

Pickup will be at the soccer field located behind the bus loop.

Our season opens on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and runs through October.

Tryouts will take place Monday, Aug. 26 through Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Any athlete wanting to try out must have their physicals (dated after May 1, 2024) and concussion forms turned in. Both can be found in the main office of the East building.

According to VHSL rules, any athlete trying out must have passed at least 5 classes from the previous semester to be eligible to play.

Athletes must bring their own water, cleats, and shin guards for tryouts.
